In April 2017, China and South Africa established a high-level people-to-people exchange mechanism。To enrich the mechanism connotation，To promote practical development of vocational education with South Africa and other African countries，Strengthen the integration of industry and education，Promote Chinese vocational colleges and enterprises to join hands to "go global"，2018年1月，The China-South Africa Center for People-to-people and Cultural Exchanges of the Ministry of Education and the Industrial and Manufacturing Training Agency of the Ministry of Higher Education and Training of South Africa jointly held the "Consultation on Vocational Education Cooperation and Technical Skills Training between China and South Africa" in Changzhou, China.，Jointly initiated the establishment of the "China-South Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance"。Fifty-eight participants from China and South Africa signed the declaration on the establishment of the "China-South Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance"，Among them, the Chinese side includes the Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education, the Henan Provincial Department of Education, 27 universities and 20 enterprises;The South African side includes the Industrial and Manufacturing Training Agency of the South African Department of Higher Education and Training, six colleges and two educational institutions，Changzhou Institute of Information Technology serves as the Executive vice president unit and the executive secretariat unit of the alliance。
To continuously promote vocational education cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between China and South Africa and other African countries，It will contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative and the building of a China-Africa community of destiny，Adopted by the resolution of the Chinese Chairman of the Alliance in November 2019，Renamed "China-South Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance" to "China-Africa (South) Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance"。The Alliance aims to build an open platform, uphold the concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and sharing, promote China-Africa vocational education cooperation, deepen the integration of industry and education, innovate the mode of training technical and skilled personnel, and give play to the leading, basic and extensive role of education and training in promoting cultural exchanges, economic development and industrial upgrading。
